The Tragically Hip are a Canadian band, who play 'soft-rock'. I think they are a great band, because of their beautiful music and meaningful lyrics. The Tragically Hip are:

The real breakthrough for The Tragically Hip was with their album Fully completely in 1992, which made them very popular (also in the Netherlands).
I visited a concert of The Tragically Hip in May this year (1997) in a place called Noorderligt in Tilburg in the Netherlands and I really enjoyed it.
The Tragically Hip also performed at a TV-show about music in the Netherlands, '2 Meter-sessies' (which can be translated as 2 Meter-sessions), where they played 'Gift shop' and 'Ahead by a century' from Trouble at the henhouse and 'Scared' and 'Nautical disaster' from Day for night.
